Dafna Lichtman, Manager
Dafna has been the manager of the Garden Library since 2013. Prior to this position she worked as community worker in Mesila (Aid and Information Centre for the Foreign Community). She has a Bachelors in African Studies and Art and is currently completing her M.A. in anthropology at Tel-Aviv University.
Efrat Davidov, Volunteer Coordinator
Efrat has been active in the Garden Library for over four years. She initially started as a volunteer and later became the volunteers’ coordinator. Efrat has a great deal of educational experience in formal and informal education. She is currently completing her M.A. in History and Philosophy in Tel-Aviv University. She has a Bachelors degree from The David Yellin Academic College of Education.
Irit Feingold, Children Community Center Coordinator
Irit has been working in the field of education for over six years, both in the informal sector and in special needs education, in Israel and in Ethiopia. She is currently completing her B.A. in special needs education and in African studies. She is an Everett fellow for social justice.
Sophie Shanir, CEC coordinator
Sophie has been coordinating the CEC since 2014. She is a graduate of Sadaka-Reut’s ‘Community in Action’ program. She is currently completing her Bachelor degree in photography from Bezalel academy of arts and design in Jerusalem.
Noa Elizabeth Goren, Coordinator of Sewing Cooperative
Noa has been active in CEC’s sewing center since 2011, and is currently coordinating together with Angie Robles, the sewing collective. Noa has an M.A. in sustainable Fashion and a B.A. in fabric and fashion studies.
Yael Ha-Levy, Librarian
Yael is the Garden Library’s librarian and is also responsible for the language courses. She is a medical student in Tel-Aviv University. Yael has been volunteering in the library for the past two and a half years.
Tamar Kedem, Children Center Coordinator
Tamar has a B.A. in sociology and anthropology and in African studies. She previously worked as a counselor in the center for torture survivors in Mesila (Aid and Information Centre for the Foreign Community). Alongside to working in the Garden Library, Tamar also coordinates the after-school daycare centers in UNITAF.
Yoav Shafranek, Children Community Center Coordinator
Yoav completed his Bachelor degree in behavioral science and is currently completing his studies in gardening therapy in the Kibbutzim College. He has been involved in various initiatives in education as well as in sustainable development. Yoav is a member of Onya City collective and has been part of the Garden Library’s staff for the past couple of years.
